Brian Keefer is a proven executive with extensive profit and loss experience in multiple organizations. His background includes cross-functional experience in executive and operations management, start-ups, turnarounds, product management, marketing, strategic planning, and business development. Brian has a consistent track record of leading companies to unprecedented levels of growth and profitability.
Prior to starting ATIC, Brian was Founder, President and CEO of Family Security Insurance Company, Inc. (“FSIC”), a multi-line, multi-state personal lines company. FSIC became the leading writer of Louisiana property insurance through the independent agent channel within eighteen months of entering the state, at a 15% fully developed loss ratio.
Prior to founding FSIC, Mr. Keefer was Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer of Bankers Insurance Group. Brian led a team that turned around Bankers P&C operations from record losses to four straight years of record profitability lowering the combined ratio from 128 to 89 while growing revenue 38%. This core team has served with Brian at both FSIC and Allied Trust today.
Prior to Bankers, Brian managed Louisiana for Progressive Auto returning them to profitability by lowering the combined ratio from 113 to 93 while growing revenue 50% from $125 to $190 million. Companies under Brian’s leadership were considered Carrier of Choice and won Most Improved Carrier and multiple Company of the Year awards by PIA and Big I Agent Associations.
Brian earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science from the University of Kansas.


Throughout her career, Ya has demonstrated a commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying at the forefront of industry trends and emerging challenges.
Ya is a highly accomplished professional in the actuarial field, holding prestigious designations as a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), and an Associate in Reinsurance (ARe). Ya began her career in the insurance industry in 2003 at FCCI Insurance Group, based in Sarasota, Florida. In 2009, she joined Munich Re, where she spent over 11 years holding several key positions, including Senior Actuary, Actuary, and Actuarial Analyst.
Beyond Munich Re, Ya’s career includes roles at Gen Re and Nationwide Insurance.
Ya holds a Master of Science degree in Statistics from the University of Central Florida. Additionally, she earned an undergraduate degree in Statistics from Nanjing University of Finance & Economics and a Master of Science degree in Accounting from Renmin University of China.


Ron has over 31 years of claims experience, encompassing both direct handling and management of personal and commercial lines property and casualty losses: including all Homeowners and Dwelling forms, Small Business, Flood, Business Stock losses, Boiler and Machinery, Auto Material Damage, and Motor Truck Cargo. Ron has claims handling and management experience as a Third-Party Administrator and Insurance Carrier.
After college, Ron began his career at Crawford and Company as a multi-line adjuster in Michigan, then as a Branch Claims Manager in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Ron has held various other management roles that include Field Claims Manager with Farmers Insurance, Vendor/Direct Repair Manager with Tower Hill Insurance, and Property Division Manager with Bankers Insurance. During that time, he was responsible for building high-performance teams, leading a concierge program that included a catastrophe response roster and claims triage program and served as the Infinity Group Liaison with The Hartford and USAA.
Early in his career, Ron directly handled Personal and Commercial property large losses and subsequently managed both inside and outside claims adjusters and direct repair firms over multi-state territories. Management oversight included both daily claims handling groups and catastrophe response, which included setting up and managing inside teams, staff/independent field response, and vendor mobilization.
In addition to overseeing daily claims activities, Ron has been involved in direct management of many of the industry’s most impactful wind events including, Hurricanes Gustav, Ike, Mathew, Harvey, Irma, Laura, Delta, Zeta, and Super Storm Sandy.
Ron graduated from Purdue University in Lafayette, IN with a B.S. in Financial Planning.


Suzanne brings to Allied Trust a unique blend of leadership, creativity, and visionary skills shaped by over 28 years of industry experience. She leads her team in building and delivering the underwriting and customer service strategy guidelines, policies, and procedures that align with the company’s profitability and growth goals.
Before Allied Trust, Suzanne spearheaded the internalization of Lighthouse’s underwriting and customer service, providing a higher level of service for agents and insureds. She was AVP of Operations & Compliance for Prepared Insurance Company and Operations and Direct Sales Manager for HomeWise Insurance Company.
She brings a deep mix of experience in operations, human resources, information technology, training and development, and compliance. Suzanne began her insurance career at USAA while attending St. Leo University, earning her B.A. in Business Management with a specialization in Marketing. She is licensed as a General Lines Property & Casualty agent and holds several non-residential licenses.


David joins Allied Trust Insurance Company as Chief Financial Officer, bringing over 25 years of financial and operational leadership across the Insurance, Financial Services, Manufacturing, and Publishing industries, both domestically and internationally.
Prior to Allied Trust, David served as Chief Financial Officer for Katz Capital, a Tampa-based financial services firm. His expertise and passion lie in the insurance industry, where he most recently held the role of Chief Financial and Chief Operating Officer at American European Insurance Group, a regional property and casualty insurer in the Northeast.
David is committed to excellence in financial management, reporting, treasury, mergers and acquisitions, and overseeing key operational functions, including HR, IT, Claims, Legal, and Office Services. He is particularly passionate about mentoring future leaders and fostering talent development.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an MBA in Finance from St. John’s University, Tobin College of Business in New York.


Antonio brings over 18 years of industry experience creating and delivering world-class insurance products and services. He possesses a broad leadership skillset that spans product management, new product development, data and analytics, and underwriting.
Before joining ATIC, Antonio was Director at Cincinnati Insurance Company, a high-net-worth carrier, leading efforts for profitable growth in the western states, including Texas and California. He successfully delivered increased market share, while managing the data and analytics capabilities during his six years with the organization.
His prior experience included ten years with Farmers Insurance Group in product management and sales and operations. He also spent several years in Investment Banking prior to business school.
Antonio holds an undergraduate degree from Tulane University and received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School.


Ed is an accomplished sales and marketing professional with a career spanning over two decades within the insurance industry. With a proven track record of driving growth and success, he has consistently demonstrated leadership abilities, strategic planning, and the experience to drive profitable business.
Prior to joining Allied Trust, Ed served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at TypTap Insurance Company. Here he played a pivotal role in overseeing nationwide product expansions across eleven states. He and his team consistently exceeded sales targets through effective strategic planning and cross-departmental collaboration. Before this role, Ed served as the Director of Sales at TypTap, where he prepared the company for expansion, established a sales pipeline for national accounts, and initiated the hiring and development of a sales team.
Ed previously held the position of Territory Manager at TypTap, where he contributed to the development of the Southwest Florida region and was part of a team that launched one of the country’s first private-market flood insurance options.
His commitment to excellence has been evident throughout his career, from his early days as an agency owner to the influential roles he held at TypTap Insurance Company.
Ed achieved a Bachelor of Science in Information Studies from Florida State University. He holds the Associate in National Flood Insurance (ANFI) Certification.


Ian brings 14 years of experience in the insurance industry, specializing in personal lines property and casualty insurance, customer service, and leadership. A graduate of the University of South Florida with a degree in English, Ian quickly advanced in his career through roles at various insurance companies gaining expertise in customer service, underwriting, team leadership, and department management.
Most recently, Ian played a key role in developing and overseeing critical operations, including agency services, IT, underwriting, and customer service, fostering collaboration and driving process efficiency. Known for building high-performing teams and delivering exceptional results across multiple disciplines, Ian’s forward-thinking leadership consistently benefits clients, partners, and colleagues alike.


Ryan has over 15 years of experience in property and casualty insurance specializing in all lines of homeowners as well as private passenger auto. Throughout his career, Ryan has focused on building strong relationships with agents and providing excellent customer service.
After attending St. Petersburg College, Ryan obtained his personal lines insurance license and worked for an independent insurance agency developing key business relationships with multiple carriers.
Prior to joining Allied Trust, Ryan worked for Mercury Insurance Group as a personal lines underwriter for multiple coastal states including Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York.
While at Allied Trust Insurance, Ryan has held multiple roles within the Underwriting Department. This has given him the opportunity to expand within the organization, gathering the type of expertise needed to guide his team effectively.


Alicia brings over 18 years of experience, supporting independent agents in multiple capacities, including claims, underwriting, and marketing. She worked with agents in several states in the Southeast and Midwest with 8 years dedicated to working with agents across the State of Texas.
After attending the University of Missouri – Columbia, she worked as an underwriter and later specialized in remarketing books of business, working side by side with agents in their offices. Upon relocating to Houston, her focus remained on building strong agency relationships in territory management and business development roles, offering a customer-centric approach and dedication to helping agents grow profitably.
Alicia has worked with admitted and non-admitted lines in Texas, using that experience to form an in-depth understanding of coastal insurance and how to support agents in a dynamic marketplace. She enjoys serving as a subject matter expert in personal lines products, delivering training, and staying up to date on regulatory changes.


Chad is a graduate of the University of South Florida where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. Chad has over 20 years of insurance industry experience with most of his career spent in the property and casualty market, focused on personal lines. As South Carolina Territory Manager he is responsible for expanding the Allied Trust brand to create a solid foundation for long-term success.
Prior to joining Allied Trust, Chad worked for St. Johns Insurance Company and Slide Insurance as the South Carolina Territory Sales Manager. In addition, Chad worked for Hull & Company in multiple roles in sales, marketing and underwriting.


Mary Beth brings a wealth of experience in the insurance industry, having worked on both the company and agency sides of the business. Most recently, she served as Carrier Relations Director at Brightway Insurance’s corporate headquarters in Jacksonville, FL. Prior to that, Mary Beth spearheaded insurance marketing strategies for AAA/The Auto Club, overseeing initiatives across 11 Midwest and Southeast states. Earlier in her career, she supported Allstate’s Field Sales Leaders and agency teams throughout Florida. Additionally, she was instrumental in launching WellCare Health Plan’s nationwide prescription drug program. Mary Beth began her career with Progressive Insurance, where she held key roles in Operations, Claims, Sales, and Marketing, building a strong foundation for her dynamic career.


Robert began his insurance career over 13 years ago as an agent writing personal lines policies across 40+ states. As a national agent he worked with over 30 insurance carriers to help his customers protect their most important assets while receiving multiple top producer awards along the way. Since then, he has leveraged his insights and experience gained as an agent to help other independent agents as Territory Manager for Lighthouse Property Insurance Corporation and Frontline Insurance. During this time Robert built and maintained strong agency relationships while navigating challenging insurance markets.
Robert joined Allied Trust in 2022 when the company expanded into North & South Carolina. As North Carolina Territory Manager he is responsible for building the Allied Trust brand while creating a solid foundation for successful long-term expansion in the state.
Robert earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He maintains his North Carolina Personal Lines Insurance License and is currently in the process of obtaining his Associate in Personal Insurance (API) professional designation.


Rod offers 13 years of experience in the field, working with Independent Agents, to the Allied Trust team. He has also spent a number of years as an agent and knows the value of both sides of the desk.
Rod has worked with several different carriers during his time in the industry and enjoys working with Texas agents and developing strong relationships. He has worked in almost every part of Texas at one time or another and has experience in New Mexico and Florida.
After attending the University of Southern Mississippi, Rod worked as an agent in his father’s agency in Lubbock in 1999. Soon after, in 2001, he began working in the independent realm and soon took a job in the field of Affirmative Insurance. He has enjoyed success in introducing programs with various carriers to Texas agents, as well as building brands for new carriers coming into Texas.
Rod brings strength to the Allied Trust Team through hard work and his dedication to the Independent Agents of the great state of Texas!
