As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact, speak up and be heard, and help us build our presence in the New Jersey market.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Territory Manager to lead Allied Trust’s growth throughout New Jersey, with a strong focus on the coastal property insurance market.

This is a remote position based in New Jersey that requires extensive travel throughout the assigned territory. The Territory Manager will serve as the primary relationship manager for our independent agency partners and will be responsible for expanding our agency network, driving profitable premium growth, and strengthening Allied Trust’s position in the market.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in homeowners insurance and existing relationships with independent agents serving New Jersey’s coastal communities.

If you enjoy building relationships, being out in the market, and helping agency partners grow their business, this is that kind of role.

What You’ll Do:

- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with agency owners, producers, and team members

- Develop a clear understanding of each agency’s business needs, market opportunities, and challenges

- Maintain regular communication and provide a high level of service and support to agency partners

Expand Our Agency Network

- Recruit, onboard, and appoint new independent agencies to expand Allied Trust’s distribution footprint

- Focus on agencies with established relationships and experience in New Jersey’s coastal markets

- Identify new market opportunities and develop plans to increase Allied Trust’s visibility and agency presence

- Support new agencies through the appointment, training, and activation process

Drive Profitable Growth

- Meet or exceed territory production and premium growth goals

- Promote Allied Trust’s product suite, including HO3, DP3, PUP, HO6, boat, and flood products

- Work with agency partners to identify opportunities to increase new business and improve retention

- Monitor the quality and profitability of business submitted within the territory

Train and Support Agency Partners

- Conduct regular in person agency visits throughout New Jersey

- Train agents on Allied Trust’s products, underwriting guidelines, quoting platforms, and processes

- Provide ongoing education and support as products, systems, and underwriting guidelines change

- Help agents understand how Allied Trust’s products can meet the needs of their clients

Manage Territory Performance

- Monitor key territory performance measures, including premium growth, loss ratio, retention, and new business results

- Identify underperforming agencies or geographic areas and develop action plans for improvement

- Maintain accurate agency activity, visit, opportunity, and follow up information within the company’s customer relationship management system

- Use data and market insight to prioritize agency visits and territory development activities

Partner Across the Company

- Work closely with Underwriting, Claims, Product, Marketing, and other departments to support agency partners

- Share agent feedback, competitor information, and market trends with internal teams

- Support product launches, system updates, marketing initiatives, and other company priorities

- Help ensure agency partners have a smooth and consistent experience when working with Allied Trust

- Follow company policies, procedures, underwriting requirements, and regulatory standards

- Maintain appropriate records of agency activities and business discussions

- Uphold Allied Trust’s core values in every interaction with agents, employees, and business partners

What You'll Bring:
